Motherjane’s 1st song since the release of  Maktub was released on March 1st. The song Tribes of Babel was written for Amnesty International’s PEACE and is streaming on the our main site,  the download was delayed to April12th by the PEACE organizers , see our press release for details.

Recently announced Motherjane will be performing at Jadavpur University Kolkata on March 12th, please  help spread the word.

Let me bring you up to date on the latest news , this Sat. Nov. 21stthe band will be in Manipal performing at TAMPI for  Brandscan 09 the event page on facebook.  This is the latest video from Motherjane is features many clips from live shows including shots from the Indonesia concert, I can’t think of a better motivator if you haven’t seen the band live !

More exciting news Suraj    has been asked to be a guest speaker Unconvention 2009 on  22nd November in Mumbai at The British Council Auditorium , he should be on around 2:45 .  Details :  Unconvention Mumbai as it will be bringing together Musicians,Event organizers, Artist Managers and all other people related to the Indian Independent Music Scene onto one platform to discuss and share ideas on the future of independent music in India. The 2 day conference will consist of panel discussions and feature a bunch of well respected people from within the Indian Music community as well as International participation.  For much more visit the web site.

In Closing the Success and feedback from recent shows has been incredible the facebook music page has grown by over 400 people in ten days , I just love everyone is sharing motherjane with their friends this is a note Rohan left on my page : ” Eva. I checked out Motherjane @ Octoberfest in Bangalore in October. They were just too good. I have their autographed CD. I missed them in Mumbai though. Shame on me because Mumbai is where I live. I gifted one of my colleagues in Norway their CD and he’s hooked on to them now. He’d never heard that kind of rock before ” 

You all have in your power to bring motherjane  world wide success, don’t underestimate it for a minute !  We still have a lot to work to do in India too and it won’t happen without you , you need to ask for motherjane at your festivals, on your radio, at your clubs , right now NEEV 09 in Pune is trying to convince the college to bring the band and asking people to post on their event page  ,  it is only by you uniting  can we make all of this happen.  If you know of Festivals  they should be performing  at and Radio Stations motherjane’s  music should be playing on contact them  demand your motherjane  fix  (politely but  firmly )   do contact me with the details  on Festivals and Radio Stations and I will make sure myself or the team at  Aum  I Artistes follow up , my email is evadowd@motherjane.in .
